Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Open Arms Counseling LLC provides psychiatric nurse practitioner services to clients in Henderson, NV and the surrounding areas. We offer both a child psychiatrist and adult psychiatrist, specializing in all aspects of the spectrum of psychiatry, including treating bipolar disorder and depression.
One area we focus on is the initial evaluation and diagnosis process. We are fully qualified to diagnose mental health issues, and we have an intensive process to help our clients learn exactly what is going on with them, as well as training and expertise on finding the solutions that are right for them. One of our qualified psychiatric nurse practitioners will conduct a full assessment, working with the client to discover a suitable medication or treatment.
We also deal with medication management. It is our job to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Medications aren’t an exact science, meaning every medication may work a little differently on each person—even if they have been diagnosed with the same illness. We will work with you to begin and adjust any medications as necessary, until a medication that works well for you is found.
We work with clients of all ages, including children, young adults, and adults. Children are often more difficult to diagnose, as they tend to have greater difficulty articulating their symptoms. However, at Open Arms Counseling LLC, we are fully trained in the practice of diagnosing mental illness in children. We understand the telltale signs and symptoms that parents must watch out for, as well as the most effective ways to treat common—and less common—childhood issues.
